McDivitt Makes A Difference

On New Year’s Eve 2007, we held our first Safe and Sober Free Ride Home program in Colorado Springs and paid for more than 400 cab rides home to assist in the fight against drunk driving. We encourage everyone to make responsible choices, but if you find yourself in need of a safe way home, we’ll pick up the tab. The program runs on St. Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, Halloween, and New Year’s Eve, and rides are only good from a bar or restaurant to someone’s home—not to other drinking locations.

McDivitt Law Firm has provided nearly 4,000 safe rides home since its first Safe and Sober program on New Year's Eve 2007.

Cinco de Mayo 2010
McDivitt Law Firm joined in the local Cinco de Mayo festivities by offering the Safe and Sober program and paid the way for 377 safe rides home!

St. Patrick’s Day 2010
The Safe and Sober program ran from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17, and provided nearly 350 safe rides home. Thanks to Yellow Cab of Colorado Springs for its continued assistance with our program!

New Year’s Eve 2009
McDivitt Law Firm covered the cost of a record-breaking 870 cab rides home on New Year's Eve! To date, the firm has paid for more than 3,600 safe rides home for those who needed a safe way home in Colorado Springs.

Halloween 2009
This was the first time the firm sponsored the program on Halloween, which resulted in more than 650 free rides to area residents in need of a safe way home!

Cinco de Mayo 2009
During its first Cinco de Mayo Safe and Sober program, McDivitt Law firm paid for more than 250 safe rides home. To date, the program has provided more than 2,000 safe rides to local patrons.

St. Patrick’s Day 2009
McDivitt Law firm paid for approximately 550 safe rides home on St. Patrick’s Day. McDivitt Law Firm would like to thank Yellow Cab Company of Colorado Springs for its continued support of Safe and Sober.

New Year’s Eve 2008
Now in its second year, Safe and Sober provided approximately 850 rides during New Year’s Eve 2008 and will now be offered during St. Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, and Halloween.

New Year’s Eve 2007
The initial event, which ran from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., was launched on New Year’s Eve 2007 and provided more than 400 safe rides home.
